To be the change catalyst for others by encouraging, educating, mentoring, inspiring, and uplifting professionally and/or personally as many others have done for me.

How do I know all this?

Because I went through an ordeal.

Troy has enjoyed a long career in the fashion and lifestyle industry- first as a style icon who was photographed for publications like Vogue, British GQ and Complex Style, then as a successful freelance journalist (NYT, Forbes Life, Yahoo Beauty) and consultant for luxury brands like Symrise AG. But before he was known as a cultural tastemaker, he was just a guy who made a huge mistake.

As a young adult I was tried, convicted, and incarcerated for 2 years. Yes, I did the crime. And I did the time. But I decided early on in my sentence that if I was going to be behind bars, I was going to focus on my own personal growth, knowing that when I left I would be ready to move forward into a new way of life. Journaling my day to day observations of this human experience became my focus and from that, my optimism and saving grace.

The day I walked out back into the world, I had a new lease on life, with a grounded sense of realism and a commitment to forward thinking. I went on to study business and fashion and through networking, leveraging relationships and being mentored by some truly inspiring people, I learned how to get out of my own way, throw out the rule book and discover my unique path.

What is Troy’s latest passion?

Troy is on a quest to build a luxury skincare brand for men, launching Fall / Winter 2024. It is a brand that will inspire, empower and transcend the next generations of men.
